This invention relates to the field of speech recognition, more specifically, to a method and apparatus for recognizing speech to create a command for a computer.
2. Background
The use of computerized systems is becoming widespread. An ever increasing number of organizations and individuals rely on these systems to perform a variety of functions.
One such function is accessing computerized systems, e.g., databases, for information. A person must be trained to use an access code to access computerized systems. For example, before the person can access a database, he must identify himself and be recognized by the system.
Another function of computerized systems is to control the system. As an example, a user can manipulate a system to perform a process, e.g., retrieve information from a database.
Both of these functions require a user to speak a command. Typically, the user must speak the command and then listen for a response.
For example, a user may speak a command to retrieve information from a database. The system will then respond by providing the information. If the user has forgotten the correct command, he must repeat the command. This can be tedious and result in errors.
Many other systems provide for speech recognition. These systems require the user to speak the command, and the system will respond with a speech response, e.g., the name of the database the user is accessing. If the system fails to recognize the user's command, e.g., the user speaks a word instead of a command, the system fails to respond with the correct response.Nifedipine: evidence for a mechanism of action independent of coronary vasodilation.
The effect of nifedipine, a Ca++ channel antagonist, on blood pressure and coronary circulation was examined in normal dogs. Nifedipine lowered blood pressure in a dose-dependent manner and depressed myocardial contractility. Left ventricular coronary blood flow (CBF) was decreased after nifedipine infusion (5.5 micrograms/kg/min). This fall ac619d1d87
